Einstein's ImpactEinstein had a very powerful and immediate impact on the war. Although applying his formula (E=mc^2) to make an atomic bomb took time, once it was created, everything was easier. The United States used this great power to defeat Japan for good and to end the war. Although that is short term, in the long run, he saved and estimated hundreds of thousands of American soldiers who would have had to attack Japan by land, if not for the atomic bombs. If you ask anybody today who Albert Einstein or what he did, they are sure to know. In reality, not much has changed since his lifetime. Albert Einstein is still one of, if not the most known scientists in the world. His work is still applied and used by modern-day scientists from things, the size of the universe to tiny nuclear cells.
